Description

Zurn 1/2‑inch pressure relief valve is used on cold water service lines to safeguard plumbing systems from excessive pressure buildup. It operates by opening at a preset threshold (or adjustable range) to discharge water and relieve pressure, then closes once safe levels are restored. The Zurn model has a cast bronze body and stainless steel internals to resist corrosion. It is mounted with a male NPT inlet and a female NPT outlet to simplify fitting into standard piping. Because it is only for pressure relief (not temperature relief), it must be used together with other devices when temperature control is required.
