Meeco’s Red Devil Furnace Cement & Fireplace Mortar is a high‐temperature silicate cement premixed and ready to use, designed for bonding, sealing, and repair work in fireplaces, stoves, and furnaces. It tolerates service temperatures up to about 2,000 °F (≈ 1,093 °C) and is suitable for patching cracked firebricks or mortar joints. The product must be applied in thin layers (no more than about ¼ inch) to ensure proper curing, which typically takes 24 hours at ambient temperatures above ~60 °F. Once fully cured, it becomes a hard, rigid cement and can be painted if desired. While it adheres to both masonry and metal, it is intended for interior use only and is water‑soluble before cure—so it’s not recommended for exterior or highly flexible joints.
